However, he made a remark that does indicate where his head is at, "the fake moon landing is the greatest event that ever happened." Ok, I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea! I say no! Thankfully, with the new pontificate, the fast tracking is being reexamined, and, in Novak's case, at least one serious impediment has been found: his lax conduct regarding the case of at least one abusive priest under his care.

The Vatican has suspended the beatification process of Argentine Bishop Jorge Novak (1928–2001) in October 2025, the Diocese of Quilmes announced on April 4.
Vatican Cardinal Marcello Semeraro revoked the nihil obstat , the authorization to proceed the cause, opened in 2017.
