"Devil" Beer Tap in Belgian Confessional: A deconsecrated church built in 1878 in Antwerp, Belgium, has served as a foyer for Theater Elckerlyc since 2025. One confessional now contains a token machine, while another has been fitted with a self-service Duvel 6.66% beer tap. "Duvel" is Dutch for "devil" and is also the name of a Belgian beer brand. An earlier report claimed the diocese had approved the concept, but the article was corrected on 10 June: the diocese says it was not involved in the redevelopment.
I went to their website - heilighartbrouwerij.be/page/foto-s and I could not find any images with Bart Simpson or 666 on any of the images inside this deconsecrated church. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...............
Remember Pastor Derek Reimer from Alberta? Back in February 2023, he was charged for peacefully protesting against a drag queen story hour for children in a Calgary Public Library. The performance is called "Reading with Royalty." Supposedly his crime was causing a disturbance, and he was forced to leave the premises. "Reading with Royalty" describes itself as "a family-friendly story time program featuring local drag queen, king, and monarch performers. Created to celebrate inclusivity, kindness, and self-expression, children are invited to dress in their best outfits or crowns to listen to stories and songs in a welcoming environment." Of course none of this "welcoming" stuff applies to those with different views like Pastor Reimer. In May of 2025, the case was tried. The verdict: Reimer was acquitted of all chargers. But the decision wasn't acceptable to the Crown. They appealed it and the case has been back in court since April 27 of this year. This is how the legal system in Canada …
Today, Archbishop Carlo Viganò published the personal letter that he had sent to Pope Leo XIV in January. It appears that - despite Viganò having denied that Francis was a legitimate pope - he recognizes Leo XIV. Monsignor Viganò addresses Leo XIV as "Holiness," asks him to exercise his authority, and seeks an audience with him. Archbishop Viganò recounts his long career in Vatican service, argues that he was punished for exposing corruption and doctrinal problems in the Church, explains how retirement led him to reject Vatican II and the post-conciliar direction of the Church, defends himself against the charge of schism, and urges Leo XIV to break with the errors of the Francis era and the synodal project. The letter contains a noticeably heavy use of first-person pronouns and is full of self-reference, emphasis on personal integrity, descriptions of persecution and mistreatment, frequent presentation of himself as a key witness to major events, and relatively little self-criticism …badan
I would like to see the first letter he sent to Leo, the original letter he sent when he first requested a Private Audience. That’s what would tell the story.

On Saturday, more than 1,000 Catholics took part in a Eucharistic Rosary procession through Derry in Northern Ireland. The procession was part of the first Worldwide Marian Procession, held in conjunction with around 400 parishes and 50 Marian shrines worldwide. The public prayer, which brought the streets to a standstill, was supported by Bishop Donal McKeown of Derry.
They should have just listened and looked at all the documents that Russia held up and showed the world they had it. Instead of calling it Russian propaganda. Showing pictures of where and what they looked like. So the world will know what is going on. After Russia kept warning us and showed the proof, victoria newland had no choice but to admit it. But "TRIED" to turn it on Russia that they were afraid IF Russia found out they would try to take it for themselves. Or some such nonsense. Morons. If they wanted it for themselves, would they have tried to warn us we have them? Or just take them without a sound. Now this administration is trying to say, they are worried with the conflict going on? Russians are highly intelligent. Russia already said from day one, they must be very careful not to even go near them. That if it was bombed, diseases or the chemicals in the lab can escape. And no one knows how deadly or serious the situation is. Russia is on the ball. They know better than this …badan
Bishop Appointed by Leo XIV Backs ‘Female Pope’ Campaign The Diocese of St. Gallen, Switzerland, launched its "I’m In" ("Ich bin dabei") campaign on May 4 across 25 towns and villages. The billboard, web and social media campaign features clergy, church employees and volunteers posing provocative questions. One poster shows a pastoral worker asking: “Shall we pave the way for the election of the first female Pope?” — followed by the campaign’s signature response: "I’m in." Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Beat Grögli as Bishop of St. Gallen in May 2025, despite his publicly known support for the ordination of women

In our time, authority is deeply discredited, both in society and in the Church, whether because of excess or deficiency. This was said by Father Francisco Rivera, 46, on June 14 in an interview with VidaNuevaDigital.com. He was elected on May 20 as the new abbot of the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María de Huerta in Soria, Spain. It is one of Spain’s great monasteries and one of the most important historic houses of the Cistercian Order. Father Rivera acknowledged that the number of vocations has declined drastically: “We can blame the world, its values or lack of them, young people, social media, and so on. But I believe consecrated life must also undertake a rigorous examination of conscience. Perhaps we have become a kind of tasteless salt. And we know what the Lord Jesus says in the Gospel about that.” For the new abbot, the best vocation campaign is “to live, in our case, a serious and coherent monastic life, in fidelity to our monastic commitments and to the Rule of Saint …badan
Former atheist says Jesus Christ appeared to him in a dream as he hung off the edge of a cliff, crying for help. He didn’t understand the dream when he woke up. He figured it out later. But once he did, he could no longer remain an atheist. DR. SY GARTE: “I was hanging from the edge of a cliff, terrified. I didn’t know what to do, and I couldn’t climb up.” “I was holding on with my hands, and I screamed out, ‘Help. Help.’ I didn’t know who I was calling to. I just said, ‘Help, help.’ And I heard a voice say, ‘Just let go.’ And I said, ‘What? What? I fall down?’” “And the voice said, ‘Just let go.’ So I finally said, ‘Well, okay.’ So I let go. And the moment I let go, the entire landscape turned 90 degrees. And instead of hanging from a cliff, I was lying on the ground.” “And there was a man whose voice I had heard standing there. That was the man who said, ‘Just let go.’ I woke up, and I was like, ‘Whoa, what was that?’ I didn’t know what he meant by ‘just let go.’ I didn’t …badan
An Illinois judge ruled last week that the Archdiocese of Chicago may continue its lawsuit against a group of people accused of making false sexual abuse claims. The lawsuit, filed in 2025, says that more than two dozen people took part in a plan to make false abuse accusations in order to receive money from settlement payments by the archdiocese. According to court documents, the group allegedly recruited people to make claims, coached them on what to say, and shared the money received from settlements. The archdiocese says its investigation was helped by recorded prison phone calls in which the alleged scheme was discussed. The recent ruling does not decide whether the allegations are true. It only rejects efforts to dismiss the case and allows the Archdiocese's lawsuit to continue. The abuse claims involve former priest Daniel McCormack, who pleaded guilty in 2007 to several counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and has many confirmed victims. Cardinal Blase Cupich said the Church …badan
"All Churches, Mosques, and Synagogues Are Sacred": Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger of Detroit spoke at the dedication of the new mosque in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, on June 5. He said there was nowhere he felt greater honor, fraternity, and kindness, and that he had sensed "the divine presence" from the moment he arrived. Echoing the imam, he said that all present belong to the same human family and described all churches, mosques, and synagogues alike as "sacred" places where God reaches out to humanity - places that would bring "all of humanity" into deeper communion with "our one God."

Nuncio’s Humanitarian Convoy Halted by Israeli Forces: On June 11, Israeli forces stopped a humanitarian convoy led by Nuncio Paolo Borgia as it was delivering aid to Christian villages in southern Lebanon. The convoy was held for about an hour near the Israeli-controlled buffer zone, amid nearby gunfire and ongoing military operations. After a 12-hour journey, the aid reached its destination.

"Behold Jesus Christ crucified, Who is the only foundation of our hope; He is our Mediator and Advocate; the victim and sacrifice for our sins. He is goodness and patience itself; His mercy is moved by the tears of sinners, and He never refuses pardon and grace to those who ask it with a truly contrite and humbled heart. -----St. Charles Borromeo."
HOPE Wait upon the Lord; be faithful to His commandments; He will elevate your hope, and put you in possession of His Kingdom. Wait upon Him patiently; wait upon Him by avoiding all sin. He will come, doubt it not; and in the approaching day of His visitation, which will be that of your death and His judgment, He will Himself crown your holy hope. Place all your hope in the Heart of Jesus; it is a safe asylum; for he who trusts in God is sheltered and protected by His mercy. To this firm hope, join the practice of virtue, and even in this life you will begin to taste the ineffable joys of Paradise. -----St. Bernard. Not only think of the road through which thou art travelling, but take care never to lose sight of that blessed country in which thou art shortly to arrive. Thou meetest here with passing sufferings, but wilt soon enjoy everlasting rest. When thou lookest up to the recompense everything thou dost or sufferest will appear light, and no more than a shadow; it bears no proportion …badan

“Francis Made Moral Questions Accessible to Young People”: Leo XIV's new Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication, Montse Alvarado, praised Francis' controversial legacy talking to CTSA in June 2025. At Francis' funeral, she reported about young people who told her: "I'm not Catholic, but Pope Francis was my shepherd," and, "I left the faith a long time ago, but I'm here for him." According to Alvarado, they saw Francis as a guide on "the big, difficult questions," including moral questions, and as someone who "espouses church teaching in an accessible way."
Francis made moral teachings understandable and accessible to young people. This is how Montse Alvarado, the new prefect of the Dicastery for Communication, spoke of Francis' legacy following his death.
